Terrain, flood, wetland and land-cover sources for early site questions.
Purpose and context
BrickTickler connects site, environmental and biological-material questions with its existing engineering and data work. These resources expose the public reference context while preserving the product's native models and calculations. Terrain, soil and flood layers describe different aspects of a site; culture collections and material research answer different biological questions.
Using these references
Start with elevation resolution and acquisition date, then inspect how water-related layers were produced. FEMA flood-hazard mapping is not an exhaustive prediction of every future flooding event. Wetland inventories and land-cover classes have their own mapping scales and omissions. Acreage alone does not show access, slope, drainage connectivity or subsurface conditions. Preserve the source edition and distinguish a preliminary desktop comparison from the surveyed dimensions and local requirements needed for a physical project.
Scope and limitations
Screening data is not a site survey, a structural rating, a drainage design or a demonstrated material property. Retain native model assumptions and obtain the appropriate site-specific evidence before making engineering decisions.
